Take in a Premier Race Event at Phoenix International Raceway
Phoenix International Raceway is definitely my favorite place to head for a ‘Nascar race’ event.
Phoenix, ‘land of sun‘, is an ideal destination to attend a weekend of Nascar stock car racing!
You’re almost guaranteed beautiful sunshine, warm temperatures and a thrilling weekend of stock car racing!
If you and your family haven’t been to the Nascar races, then it’s time you did.
You can even pack up the RV and camp right at the race track!
You don’t know what you are missing!
Here’s a short video clip to give you an idea of what to expect.
Enjoy …
Phoenix International Raceway is situated in Avondale, Arizona. The race track is easily accessible located within 20 miles west of downtown Phoenix. It is situated in a beautiful setting, surrounded by the nearby Estralla Mountains.
What other race track in the country is surrounded by beautiful cactus and gentle rolling hills?
PIR is a perfect one-mile, low banked tri-oval race track. It’s not too big and not too small. Fans get to experience the sounds and thrills of stock car racing up close!
Phoenix International Raceway is also a race event destination where your chances of getting ‘rained out’ are very slim as well. Phoenix averages 85% annual sunshine with as little as 8 inches rainfall annually.

You’re almost guaranteed beautiful sunshine each visit!
Our family has been going to race events here for years and will continue to do so for many more to come.
If you choose to drive, fly or take your RV to the track, it’s easy to get to either way and there are plenty of places to stay as well!
One of our favorite family Holidays in USA destinations. It’s your choice! There are great hotels, motels and RV parks, all within a short distance from the race track.
Phoenix Arizona Vacations are great for the whole family!

Phoenix International Raceway - A Perfect Place To Take the Family Camping
The facilities are ideal, from rustic camping sites, paved camping stalls to first class reserved sites with hook ups. This race track has it all!
You can camp for a full five days for around $60 per site. What a bargain! These are dry camping sites, so your unit must be self – contained. Propane, water and waste dumping services are available for a fee should you require these extra services. There are plenty of on – site portable toilets to use if needed as well.
There is even a complete Bashas’ grocery store on site for your convenience.
“Bashas Race Track Supermarket!”
So you can pick your campsite, purchase groceries at the track and enjoy your weekend!
Bashas‘ guarantee’s prices will remain just as they are at any of their other grocery outlets in the Phoenix area. This great for us campers!
As well, there are continuous free tram shuttles to taxi you from your RV (recreational vehicle) to the main gates of the race track.

Phoenix International Raceway – One of the Few Tracks To Host Two Premier Nascar Race Events
In addition to the two premier races held each year, the race track holds other great race events throughout the season.
For complete race and detailed track information, be sure to visit:
Phoenix International Raceway.
I would also recommend signing up for their periodic email newsletter.
It’s filled with up to date news, upcoming events and informs you when ticket sales become available for each event.
“Family Fun at Phoenix Raceway!”
It’s a great place to visit anytime of the year! Also, if you’re really in for excitement, have a look at the Petty Driving Experience and take a spin or even drive a real race car around the track.
It’s a thrill of a lifetime and here at Holidays for Family, we highly recommend taking the family on this amazing experience.
