If your family holiday plans include a trip to Las Vegas, why not see if you can catch the Nascar races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway?
Our family has and the experience has been great each time!
We’ve packed up the RV and included a race event a number of times now.
As well, we also book airline tickets and fly down taking advantage of the great air fares the last few years!
Las Vegas is now a great destination for a family vacation any time of the year!

Las Vegas Motor Speedway opened in June 1996. I was at the inaugural Nascar ‘Winston Cup’ stock car race event. This is the premier series in Nascar racing.
The facility is quite impressive located just a few miles to the north east of the famous Las Vegas strip.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway consists of a 1.5 mile superspeedway, a 3/8-mile paved oval known as “The Bullring”, road courses, a track and a first class drag strip hosting major NHRA sanctioned events.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway Facility – Over 1100 Acres
The racing on the ‘Super Speedway‘ has been improved dramatically over the years, having increased the tracks banking from 12 degrees to 20 degrees in the turns.
This has made for some great side by side racing!

As you can see the track is just outside the City in a ‘perfect setting‘! Getting set to watch an evening of Nascar races.
Watching the races is spectacular under the lights of Las Vegas Motor Speedway! Night racing has become very popular in recent years making the racing more exciting for the fans! The drivers prefer night time racing as well.
