‘Siam’ is the former name of the ‘Kingdom of Thailand’ is located in Southeast Asia in the center of the Indochina Peninsula. The current population is over 66 million people spread out over a vast area.

- The Capital City is ‘Bangkok’ densely populated with over 12 million people. An amazing City with old and new infrastructure mixed together.  Certainly one of the great Places in Thailand not to be missed!

- The official spoken language is ‘Thai ’, but not to worry, English is wide spread especially among the younger Thai people, as the English language is taught in school.

” Beautiful Destinations in Thailand! “

Choosing where to go for your Thailand Family Holidays can be a bit overwhelming because of the size of the country and numerous exciting places to visit. So just how do you choose where to visit?

Well, Planning Holidays for Family   can be fun and how our family decides on each destination is a joint effort where each family member shares their desires and holiday expectations.

Here at Holidays for Family,  I would suggest preparing a Holiday Travel List in the same manner as a packing travel list.  Here’s a short point form list we use when choosing a destination just right for our family holidays.

• Select your destination.  For example … Thailand.

• Does the destination choice fall within your budget?

• What would you like to do on your Thailand Family Vacation?

• Are there specific tours in mind?  For example … Elephant and Tiger tours.

• Visit your local travel agency or visit online tourism websites for your chosen destination.

• Speak with others and/or visit online forums for reviews to get an idea of what to expect.

This travel list has worked very well for us over the years and we have always come up with a happy, affordable vacation choice that suits most everyone each time. Give or take a few grunts and groans from a few family members each year!

Family Holidays to Thailand – Follow Our Thailand Adventure

Our family is about to embark on a 25 night adventure taking our first Holidays to Thailand and you’re invited to join along! After completing our travel list, checking reviews, websites and discussing with others that have previously visited Thailand, we’ve come up with a lovely tropical island destination located in the Gulf of Thailand.

The island is called ‘Koh Samui’, the third largest island in the country.  We will be stopping in Bangkok visiting this amazing metropolis with some exciting adventures included as well. With careful planning we have been able to successfully put together an affordable vacation package that fits nicely into our vacation budget.
